Stop in, look around, have a drink and crank some tunes. I'll be posting some songs ripped from records, some out of print and hard to find stuff, some songs by artists you should be listening to, and a few mixes here and there.

July: Conquer The Video Craze

Those crazy kids and their arcades... What's next? Video games in the home? Listen up on eight tracks giving you tips to beat your favorite games including; Donkey Kong, Ms. Pac-Man, Defender and Tempest. This is pretty funny actually. Especially the narrator trying to explain the Pac-Man path to complete the stage. Great sound bytes. Enjoy.

I had this album years ago, but lost it somewhere along the line. I don't think it ever actually helped anyone with the games but it was a neat record to have. If you spent any time at all in an arcade, everything he tells you is stuff you would pick up on anyway just playing the game or from other players.

Brings back memories - thanks.

thanks for this one . I always wanted to know where the beasties sampled this one from.

Enjoyed this immensely. You are doing a service to the world at large. Cheers.

I had to laugh out loud at the back of the LP - Curtis sounds like quite the "conqueror" with an almost superhuman analytical mind. I wonder if he's still hired by game companies to test the difficulty level. Hilarious!

Reminds me of my old PacMan Fever LP, sadly lost to the ages.

Kudos for the whole blog... I've been buzzing around it for hours (your "Munsters" mix blew me away). Great, great stuff, dude! I'll be sure to spread the word. Thank you!
