Stop in, look around, have a drink and crank some tunes. I'll be posting some songs ripped from records, some out of print and hard to find stuff, some songs by artists you should be listening to, and a few mixes here and there.

Happy Halloween

I've posted a few Munster Themes over the past few months. I'll post them again here with my Munsters posts.

BILLY STRANGE :: THE MUNSTERS THEME

LOS STRAITJACKETS :: THE MUNSTERS THEME

I looked around blogland for some who has posted this album. I found it at Monster Shindig. Go download it. It's great 60's rock/surf.

A couple in Texas has spent a bunch of money converting their house into the Munsters mansion. Read about it here.

At Home With The Munsters

The Munsters are hands-down my favorite tv show ever. I can laugh at episodes I've seen ten times. Fred Gwynne, who plays Herman, is the biggest reason it hits with me so well. Everyone in the show is great, but Herman is excellent. For Halloween, I'm going to post a bunch of Munsters stuff. What I'm posting today isn't the record though. It's a rip from a cd that I bought at a comic book show about five years ago. Here's At Home With The Munsters that includes a theme song with words.

The Complete Festus

Somehow I goofed up and lost a song. I ripped the entire record at the request of a bunch of viewers, but when I went to put it all together, I didn't have all the songs. I'm missing Festus Talks About Teenage Music and Dances/Cornbread and Butter Milk. I'll go back and see what happened. Maybe it's one of those times where the track listing doesn't match the actual tracks on the record. Anyways... Here is Gunsmoke's Festus Sings 'n Talks 'bout Dodge City 'n Stuff. Believe me. It's a lot funnier than you'd think it would be.

The Complete Sour Cream

You want the best? You got the best! The greatest album in the world... Sour Cream & Other Delights by The Frivolous Five. There were many requests for the entire album, so here it is. Enjoy. Anyone out there know some info on this band? Were they really the ladies on the cover or studio musicians? I only ask because on some tracks you can hear the gals talking...

Tell Me What I Wanna Know

Some months ago I posted some songs from Telly Savalas. Back then someone asked if I had the song Who Loves Ya Baby, based on his million dollar catch phrase from Kojak. I didn't have it then, but my brother found the 45. Here it is. It's groovy man.

Like, Cool Man...

Here is one of the coolest records I've posted here. It's a collection of songs for all you beat fans out there. It's called Welcome To The Beat Generation. There is no real copyright on this thing though. Was it a bootleg? Great songs by Mamie Van Doren (I told someone out there I'd post a song from her), Edd Byrnes, Bob McFadden and a bunch of others. For a complete listing, read names on the back cover. Break out the bongos, light up a smoke, sit back and enjoy.

Spidey Super Stories

Some groovy stuff here from The Electric Company and Peter Pan Records. It's Spidey Super Stories as told by Morgan Freeman and other cast members from kids show from the 1970's. These short stories have ridiculous plots and are totally wacky. It's really fun. Remember Spidey's guest spots on the show? I've attached a segment at the end of this post. And YES, that's a real John Ramita (Sr.) autograph on the bottom right of the cover.

I Hate Those Meeses To Pieces!

How do you spell meeses...? Did I spell it right?

Here is a fun Huckleberry Hound record on Colpix. It is made up of three stories. One about Yogi Bear, one about Pixie & Dixie and one about Huckleberry Hound. It is a pretty old record and has some hiss and pops. I can't get enough of Mr. Jinx!
