Stop in, look around, have a drink and crank some tunes. I'll be posting some songs ripped from records, some out of print and hard to find stuff, some songs by artists you should be listening to, and a few mixes here and there.

Dean & Jerry - Aybody know about this?

I found cover art for a Dean Martin & Jerry Lewis DVD collection coming out June 13 but there is no other info. I did a few searches and find nothing on this. I'm really excited because these movies are long overdue for their DVD debut. I hope Hollywood Or Bust, Pardners, Artists & Models, Your're Never Too Young or Living It Up are included. Awesome movies. I'm guessing because it's from Paramount, it won't be another rehashing of their tv show.

I found a double feature DVD of "My Friend Irma" (1949) & "My Friend Irma Goes West" (1950) in the $5.50 bargain bin at Wal-mart, it was on Paramuont!

“Please.
If you download a song that you like, support the artist and buy their cd. My objective here is not to distribute free music. It is to introduce people to new artists and songs.”

Personal observation (a)
Most of the artists represented on your blog don’t have any of their LPs on CD these days so we couldn’t buy anything anyway.

More importantly, (b)
Please read what jazz pianist Jessica Williams has to say on her website:

“Little-known fact: If you buy Jessica's CDs anywhere else, on-line or other wise, she receives no payment whatsoever. Buying her CDs here insures that A) you'll receive the best treatment, get the most for your hard-earned dollar, and get her best work; and B) she will get paid for her work.”

So you’re not supporting the artists when you buy their CDs – you’re supporting the record company and the RIAA.

Aside from the above, you have a great blog with some really good music from the past.
Thank you very much for sharing it with us.

Thanks for the Dean and Jerry info!

You are probably right on the artists getting little money from the sale of cds. I just want to get people excited about some odd-ball music that I'm into. Hopefully some of these make their way to cd, and if they do, I want to support them.
