Merry Christmas To All

Merry Christmas everyone! Another season and come and gone. Where does the time go. There were more albums to post but I just couldn't find the time this year. I didn't even get time to surf around and see what everyone else posted. I'm going to take this week off of posting and see if I can grabs some albums others have posted. Make sure you check back next Christmas (and throughout the year) for more gems. I'll hit it hard next Christmas. I'll have the Ted Knight album up right after the new year. I promise.

Good Old Country Christmas

If you are ever in the Twin Cities at Christmas time, you must check out Trailer Trash's Trashy Little X-Mas show. They are a blast. Before kids I'd go see these guys every Wednesday night. Now I just see them when I can, and it's not enough. Here is two clips from their kids Christmas show recorded last weekend.

I was in the process of ripping this album in when I gave up. There was just too much dust damage on the records. It was from The Great One, Jackie Gleason. It was 20 Instrumentals called All I Want For Christmas. Still one of the all time best covers...

More Pee-Wee Christmas!!!!

Hey everyone. I was at a record show this weekend. I was really hoping to find some dusty old hard to find Christmas records to post for you all. I didn't find much but I didn't find this. It is a record from Warner Brothers that I'm guessing was sent only to radio stations. It has some great songs and some holiday greetings on it. A lot of unknowns, but also had Pee-Wee! I knew these existed, but I never knew where they were from. They are great. I only wish they were longer. I posted some clips from Pee-Wee's Christmas Special last year.

More Christmas Disco

Here is another album to file next to Yuletide Disco. It's called Christmas Disco Party. Maybe I'm blind, but I can't find the name of the artist on this. I realize they hire studio musicians for these, but they usually at least slap a band name on them. My favorite song is All I Want For Christmas Is A Disco Beat. Some songs are real stinkers though.

Hey everyone. Here is a post for the very few people out there that don't have MECO's Christmas In The Stars. It is a rip from the long out of print CD. Vocals include C-3PO, R2-D2, Chewie and a young Jon Bon Jovi. I don't have a scanner here at home so I had to find an image online. Some good songs, some bad. But it is Original Trilogy Star Wars and that is a plus.

The Caroleers On CD

People ask me (and I read on boards) about finding the Caroleers on CD. I've always figured finding these songs in CD format was futile. Maybe I'm the last to learn this, but I've found some. There are two CDs out by Peter Pan called Christmas Classics and Christmas Past. I only own Christmas Classics and I can verify that some songs are indeed the same as songs on the two Caroleer albums that I've posted. "A Ride On Santa's Sleigh," "Christmas Mountain," "Ho! Ho! It's Christmas," "The Little Elf," "Momma Santa's Surprise," and "Santa Clause Is Coming To Town" are the same versions. "Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer" and "When Santa Gets Your Letter" are a different versions. But all songs ooze of the Christmas cheeze that we all love.
