Stop in, look around, have a drink and crank some tunes. I'll be posting some songs ripped from records, some out of print and hard to find stuff, some songs by artists you should be listening to, and a few mixes here and there.

Combustible Edison

Combustible Edison (named after a drink) was my favorite bands from the resurgence of lounge about a decade ago. I was fortunate enough to see them once at the Uptown Bar in Minneapolis. I, Swinger is one of my favorite cds to this day. They worked a little with Esquivel before he died too. I caught them once on Conan O'Brien singing Christmas Time Is Here. I searched all over for this and finally found it on a Sub Pop Sampler. I was excited to see they had two songs on this cd. Christmas Time Is Here AND Sleighride. Anyone know what these guys are up to these days?

SORRY. FILES HAVE BEEN REMOVED.

I really love that version of Sleigh Ride. The file here includes a bunch of dialog at the end, and gets cut off when the guy's half-way through a sentence.
